From Technology to Media: A Conversation about a Crooked Path - Alexander Ferguson Talk

More Background on Mr. Ferguson:

Alexander Ferguson has more than 30 years experience launching and managing successful business ventures at the intersections of strategy, technology, communications and media.   Mr. Ferguson has built a multi-million dollar defense contracting company and a media business that delivered over 17 films to the market in its first 4 years of operation.   He possesses cutting-edge technical know-how and is considered a visionary futurist.  In the Washington Metropolitan Area, where technologists abound, Washington Technology magazine recognized Mr. Ferguson as one of the area’s notable technology entrepreneurs and futurists. One example of Mr. Ferguson’s vision is his correct prediction of the rise of downloadable internet content and subsequent work to patent a concept in the space two years before Apple Inc’s iTunes service launched.  Mr. Ferguson also holds a patent in individual medical logistics based on his prediction of the rise of personalized medicine and information logistics.  

Mr. Ferguson is a founder of Crius Inc, Intercom Federal Systems, Kaang Inc and most recently, Dawn's Light LLC.  Alexander’s CIO-level consulting clients have included various Cabinet level Federal Government Departments, Inter-Agency working groups, as well as Global 2000 companies and Nonprofits.  He was the main technical expert of a four-man team that authored a Global IT Strategic Plan, which directed $1.8 Billion of annual worldwide IT spend from 2011- 2016.  Mr. Ferguson is a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management Program, served in the Army's 29th Light Infantry, and is a multi-decade practitioner of the martial arts.
